LOS ANGELES (July 31, 2026) - Angel City Football Club (ACFC) has completed a free trade agreement with the Portland Thorns for midfielder Jennie Immethun. She is signed to an initial short-term roster relief contract through Sept. 6. Immethun will be available for ACFC's gameday roster this weekend against Kansas City Current.

Immethun joins Angel City after beginning her professional career with the Portland Thorns, where she initially joined the club as a non-roster invitee during the 2026 preseason before earning her first professional contract. She made her NWSL debut on May 20, 2026 in a 2-0 victory over Bay FC and went on to make four regular-season appearances for Portland this season.
Prior to beginning her professional career, Immethun had a standout collegiate career across UCLA, TCU and Loyola Marymount. During her lone season at UCLA in 2025, she started all 21 matches and led the Bruins with 1,892 minutes played while earning United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-America, First Team All-North Region and First Team All-Big Ten honors after helping UCLA allow just 10 goals all season.
Before transferring to UCLA, Immethun spent two seasons at TCU, where she appeared in 37 matches with 30 starts, helped the Horned Frogs win the 2024 Big 12 Championship and earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors. She began her collegiate career at Loyola Marymount in 2022, appearing in all 17 matches and making 15 starts as a freshman.
A native of San Jose, California, Immethun has also represented the U.S. Youth National Team program, attending U.S. Youth National Team Camp in 2020 and a U.S. Soccer Virtual ID Camp in 2021.
