LOS ANGELES (July 30, 2026) - Angel City Football Club (ACFC) confirmed today that forward Jun Endo suffered a right anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during the club’s July 11th away match against San Diego Wave FC and will be placed on the season-ending injury (SEI) list.

“This is not the news you ever want to receive about an athlete, especially someone who has worked so incredibly hard to get back on the field doing what she loves,” said ACFC Director of Medical Hollie Walusz. “Jun means so much to our team and our organization. We are committed to supporting her throughout her recovery and will be with her every step of the way.”

Endo was signed to the inaugural Angel City roster in December of 2021 and made her NWSL debut in the club’s first-ever match, a 2-1 win over the North Carolina Courage, in which Endo scored the winning goal. She played 22 matches for the club in 2022, and 17 in 2023. In February 2024, the club announced that Endo had suffered a season-ending knee injury during preseason that kept her sidelined until August of 2025. Since her return to the pitch in 2026, she has played nine matches totaling 431 minutes. She is signed to Angel City through the end of the 2027 NWSL season.
