Angel City Football Club is an American professional women's soccer team based in Los Angeles, competing in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). Announced on July 21, 2020, the club began play in the 2022 season and plays its home games at BMO Stadium.
Angel City FC is LA's first women's professional soccer team since the Los Angeles Sol folded in 2010. The club has a majority female ownership group and many high-profile investors, including Natalie Portman, Mia Hamm, Abby Wambach, and Serena Williams.

Alexander Straus (born 20 October 1975) is a Norwegian football coach who joined Angel City FC as head coach in June 2025. He brings a distinguished track record from European football, including three consecutive Frauen-Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich and experience coaching Norway's U23 and U19 women's national teams.
Straus began his coaching career at Varegg in Bergen before moving to Nest-Sotra, Strømsgodset, and Sandviken (later SK Brann Kvinner), where he won the Toppserien in 2021. His tactical acumen and player development focus have made him one of the most respected coaches in women's football.

BMO Stadium is a 22,000-seat soccer-specific stadium in Exposition Park, Los Angeles. Opened in 2018, it's home to both Angel City FC and LAFC. The venue features steep seating for an intimate view, 125,000 sq ft of plazas, and a design that captures the downtown LA skyline.
