Angel City Football Club (ACFC), the Los Angeles Sparks, and woman-owned lifestyle brand Round21 today announced the launch of “Sparks Fly in Angel City,” a limited-edition collection celebrating women’s empowerment, the strength of women’s sports and the shared impact of two teams proudly representing Los Angeles.
The collection will officially launch tonight when the Los Angeles Sparks face the Atlanta Dream at Crypto.com Arena and will also be available beginning today on angelcity.com/shop, while supplies last.
There are two shirt designs and a hoodie to round out the collection, featuring the phrase “Sparks Fly in Angel City,” bringing together two organizations committed to elevating women athletes, inspiring the next generation and creating a more equitable future across sports and beyond.
A nod to LA as the City of Angels, winged figures bring basketball and soccer together and together celebrate a city where sports and dreams take flight. Sparks purple and gold meet Angel City “sol rosa” through vintage-inspired illustration and expressive typography designed to feel as natural on the streets of Los Angeles as they do at a game.
The artwork is anchored by the phrase “Sparks Fly in Angel City,” created by Round21, which turns the names of the two franchises into one shared expression of the city they call home.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with the LA Sparks and imagine there will be much more to come,” said CEO of Angel City Amy Taylor. “Round21 did an incredible job of creating something that feels modern and vintage at the same time, and so, so LA. The pieces are fire. It's all so current, aspirational, and wearable. Even the range of items speaks to Los Angeles culture across both of these fast-growing sports and teams. We are excited for super fans and casual fans of both teams to rep this special collection."
“Women’s sports in Los Angeles are strongest when we show up for one another,” said Los Angeles Sparks President Stacy Johns. “Launching ‘Sparks Fly in Angel City’ with our fans at tonight’s Sparks game is a meaningful way to bring these two communities together. The Sparks and Angel City each have a distinct identity and an incredibly passionate fan base, but we share a commitment to our athletes, our city and the continued growth of women’s sports. This collection celebrates that shared energy in a way that feels authentically Los Angeles.”
Fans aren’t experiencing women’s sports on one day or in one way anymore,” said Jasmine Maietta, Founder and CEO of Round21. “They’re showing up across teams, leagues and sports. We wanted to create something that belonged truly to this new women’s sports community and could only come from these two teams and this city. ‘Sparks Fly in Angel City’ became our way of bringing those worlds together.”
The collaboration is the latest chapter in an ongoing relationship between Angel City and the Sparks. The two teams previously joined forces for an ACFC x Sparks ticket pack in 2025, while players from both organizations have supported one another by attending each other’s matches. Several Sparks players have also participated in Angel City’s ceremonial three-clap at BMO Stadium.
In May, Sparks 2026 WNBA Draft picks Ta’Niya Latson, Chance Gray and Park Ji-hyun attended an Angel City match as part of LA Sports Night and led the ceremonial three-clap before kickoff. Former Sparks player Chiney Ogwumike will continue that tradition when she visits BMO Stadium to conduct the ceremonial three clap at Angel City’s Black Excellence match on September 11.
The connection between the two organizations also extends to Angel City’s ownership group. Sparks legend and three-time WNBA champion Candace Parker is an Angel City investor, further uniting two teams that continue to champion women athletes and help advance the visibility and growth of women’s sports.
Through “Sparks Fly in Angel City,” ACFC and the Sparks celebrate their shared city, their communities and the women who continue to break barriers on the court, on the pitch and everywhere in between.
