Angel City takes on OL Reign at 3 p.m. PST on Sunday, April 17 in Seattle. The match will be broadcast on CBSSN.

Coming off the two-week international break, ACFC will look to record their first win of the Challenge Cup, as they are 0–3–1 so far. Their most recent result was an entertaining away game at San Diego that was broadcast over the air on CBS and drew more than 450,000 viewers. Angel City fell 2–4 to the home side.

The Reign, meanwhile, are 2–0–1 in the Challenge Cup, with both wins coming on the road, one against Portland and one against Angel City.

That match, a 1–3 loss on March 26, was LA’s most recent (and only, to date) result against the Reign. Despite playing most of that match down a player following a red card against midfielder Savannah McCaskill, Angel City outshot the Reign 16–13, with 9 shots coming from inside the box. Forward Tyler Lussi scored her first for the club in the 67th minute, assisted by forward Simone Charley, who in turn was set up by defender Jasmyne Spencer. Four players made their Angel City debuts in that match: Charley, Hope Breslin, Stefany Ferrer Van Ginkel, and Allyson Swaby.

OL Reign’s most recent result was a 1–0 win over the Portland Thorns on April 2. Midfielder Rose Lavelle scored the Seattle side’s lone goal, off an assist by fellow midfielder Jess Fishlock. The Reign had seven players called in for national team duty during the FIFA window: Alana Cook, Sofia Huerta, Rose Lavelle, Quinn, Jess Fishlock, Jimena López, and Angelina. Angel City had three players—Vanessa Gilles, Ali Riley, and Allyson Swaby—get called up, by Canada, New Zealand, and Jamaica, respectively.
