All four Angel City players called up for international duty in the February window that closed last Friday—Claire Emslie, Jun Endo, Ali Riley, and Alyssa Thompson—saw the field during the break, with Endo and Thompson both notching goals for their teams.
With Scotland, Emslie played 58 minutes against Iceland in a 0–2 loss on February 15, then 62 minutes in a 1–1 draw against Wales on February 21. That match marked the forward's 50th cap for Scotland. She sat out in the team's 2–1 win against the Philippines on the 18th. The team finished third in the 2023 Pinatar Cup, a four-team round-robin tournament held in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain.
Endo appeared in all three matches Japan played in the 2023 SheBelieves Cup, subbing in twice for Hina Sugita: in the 51st minute in the team's 0–1 loss to Brazil on February 16, and in the 67th minute in a 0–1 loss to the US on February 19. She played 90 minutes in Japan's 3–0 win over Canada, scoring the team's final goal in the 77th minute when she ran onto a diagonal through ball by Hinata Miyazawa, drove into the box, and placed a left-footed shot to the near post, past keeper Kailen Sheridan. Japan finished second in the tournament.
Riley's New Zealand lost all three of the friendly matches they played over the break, one to Portugal and two to Argentina. The Angel City captain only played in the first match, a 0–5 contest against Portugal, subbing out in the 65th minute. That match marked Riley's 150th cap for the Football Ferns.
Finally, with the US U-23s, Thompson played and scored in two matches against France. On February 17, Thompson, who was the only player in camp who has been capped for the senior USWNT, scored the opener in a 2–0 win. According to USSoccer.com:
Forward Alyssa Thompson... opened the scoring in the 14th minute after she ran onto a through ball from forward Mia Fishel and sprinted into the left side of the penalty area. She rounded the goalkeeper to the left and slotted into the open net from a tight angle to give the USA the lead.
In the team's second game against France, a 1–1 draw, Thompson scored in the 13th minute.
