LOS ANGELES (April 20, 2022) – Today, Angel City Football Club (ACFC) announced Archer Roose Wines as the team’s Official Wine Partner. The partnership with the Boston-based luxury canned wine company stemmed from a shared value of supporting and elevating female trailblazers. Through the game-changing Angel City Sponsorship Model, in which 10% of every partnership is reallocated back into the LA community, ACFC and Archer Roose will benefit programs that promote inclusivity in sport.
“Being a majority women-led team, we look to create partnerships with organizations that support trailblazing to make an impact for female athletes and our communities,” said ACFC Head of Revenue Jessica Smith. “Archer Roose’s adventurous spirit and commitment to exploring curiously and sustainably allowed this partnership to unfold naturally. We look forward to ‘cheers-ing’ to our shared success of Angel City FC.”
“Being part of sports teams was crucial to giving me the skills to be a successful entrepreneur: grit, confidence, and teamwork,” reflected Archer Roose CEO Marian Leitner-Waldman. “Angel City is about setting an example that women’s athletic abilities should be recognized and celebrated. Archer Roose believes in supporting women and toasting each other’s successes. This is a team we are thrilled to be on!”
Together, ACFC and Archer Roose Wines will activate the Angel City Sponsorship Model with a focus on driving access and inclusivity in sport. More information regarding the impact program will be announced at a later date.
In addition to the sponsorship model, the partnership will highlight a social feature of toasting moments. These social moments will use “Bravo” and “Yamas” as the celebratory language to highlight Italy and Greece, two of the regions where the wine originates. Additionally, original content produced by ACFC in conjunction with Archer Roose will be shared throughout the year.
