Angel City FC today announced that National Team Replacement Players Elizabeth Eddy and Kelsey Hill have signed contracts with the club through December 31, 2023.

"We're so happy with what both Elizabeth and Kelsey have done in their time with our team,” stated General Manager Angela Hucles Mangano. “They have each earned their respective spots on the roster. What they contribute to the environment and their ties to the community makes this very special."

A graduate of University of Southern California (USC), where she appeared in 76 career matches, recording 16 goals and nine assists for the Trojans, Eddy was selected in the 2014 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Draft by the Western New York Flash, helping them win the 2016 NWSL Championship. She has since played for the North Carolina Courage, Sky Blue FC, NJ/NY Gotham FC, and the Houston Dash.

"I feel so at home with this team and these players. We are getting better every day and I am so happy to be here," said Eddy. "My experience has been so positive and I am very aware that there have been ups and downs, but this club is growing in the right direction. I am honored to be a small part of this amazing run the team is experiencing. It is a dream come true to play in my hometown in front of my friends and family and I would love to be here as long as they will have me. It is an absolute joy to show up every day and grind it out with this group."

Since signing as an NTRP with ACFC, Eddy has appeared in four matches in all competitions. She forced a game-winning own goal against North Carolina Courage in the 77th minute on July 9 at BMO Stadium. Eddy has also made one Starting XI appearance in those four matches.

Kelsey Hill, a recent graduate of Pepperdine University, has been training with the club since the beginning of the season. She appeared on ACFC’s preseason roster during their exhibition match against Club América Femenil on March 8 at BMO Stadium.

"I am so grateful to be a part of this club and contribute in any way," said Hill. "I feel like everyone is playing at their best and it is a really great time to be here. It is super special. Before I played in my first game, I felt really supported by everyone and was really excited to get to go in. Getting playing minutes in games, you experience how precise the details need to be. Once I got into a game, I realized how exact your passes need to be, and I am learning so much and I'm so motivated."

After signing as an NTRP with ACFC, Hill made her pro debut on June 28 in a 2023 UKG Challenge Cup match against SoCal rivals San Diego Wave FC. Since then, she has made a total of three Challenge Cup appearances.
