With the 27th overall pick in the 2023 NWSL Draft, Angel City selected goalkeeper Angelina Anderson out of UC Berkeley. Anderson recorded 26 career shutouts at Cal, second all-time in school history. The Danville, California native was the Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Year and Pac-12 Freshman of the Year in 2019.

“Angelina is going to be a great addition to our team and will add great chemistry amongst our goalkeepers,” said Angela Hucles Mangano. “We’re really excited that we were able to draft her and make her our 27th pick.”

Anderson joins Alyssa Thompson, who Angel City selected first overall, completing the club's 2023 draft class.
