LOS ANGELES (January 8, 2026) - Angel City Football Club (ACFC) announced today that the club has signed 2025 NCAA Champion midfielder Taylor Suarez, departing Florida State University following her sophomore year to sign a three-year contract with the club.

“Angel City is built on purpose and passion. I’m extremely grateful to be part of an organization and fan base that believes in one another and stands for something bigger than the game,” said Suarez. “We are united by the same goal, to bring championships to LA, and I’ll give everything I have to help turn that dream into reality.”

"Taylor has been one of the most impactful attackers in the college game playing for 2025 National Champion Florida State and we couldn’t be happier to bring her to Angel City,” said ACFC Sporting Director Mark Parsons. "She is a very dynamic attacker who can punish opponents through combination play or on the dribble. We are excited to bring a young talent of this quality and look forward to her creativity in an Angel City jersey for years to come."

Suarez joins ACFC following a two-year collegiate career at Florida State University, where she contributed to the program’s 2025 NCAA National Championship and helped the Seminoles capture the 2024 ACC Tournament Championship. In two collegiate seasons, Suarez made 36 appearances, 26 starts, eight goals, 14 assists, and logged 1,969 minutes.
Following the 2025 season, Suarez earned Second Team All-American honors, was named Second Team All-ACC, and was selected to the NCAA Tournament All-Tournament Team.

At the international level, Suarez has represented the United States across multiple youth national team levels. In 2017, she earned her first national team call-up for the US U-17 and went on to start at the 2022 CONCACAF Women’s U-17 Championship, helping the United States win with the game-winning assist against Mexico in the final. Suarez also competed at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, where she scored one goal and earned U-17 Mid-Atlantic Conference Player of the Year honors along with selection to the U-17 All-American Team. In 2023, Suarez trained with the US U-18/19 teams and in 2024 went on to join the U-20 team competing in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, where the United States won bronze.

Suarez’s youth career included extensive individual recognition. She was a two-time Gatorade North Carolina Player of the Year, two-time North Carolina Soccer Coaches Association State Player of the Year, and two-time United Soccer Coaches High School State Player of the Year. She also earned NCSCA First Team, All-State, All-Region, and All-Conference honors, and was named 2023 Charlotte Observer Female Athlete of the Year and 2022 Charlotte Observer Soccer Player of the Year. Suarez finished her high school career with 73 goals and 59 assists.
