At Angel City, we are committed to advancing all-things equity and raising awareness for women’s health. To that end, we’re thrilled to announce Cedars-Sinai as our Official Health Partner.  Cedars-Sinai is the pre-eminent healthcare providing institution of Southern California, widely recognized for its focus on primary care, specialized medicine, and medical research. Additionally, professionals from the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute — a top-three in the nation orthopedic care outfit — will serve as official team doctors when the ACFC players take the pitch in the Spring of 2022.

As a critical component of the new partnership, ACFC and Cedars-Sinai will publish and strategically distribute health education content developed specifically for women, families, and youth. The new partners will also directly engage with the Los Angeles community during quarterly hospital visits from players and investors. They will also host 20 free-play youth soccer clinics annually beginning in 2022.

'Cedars-Sinai is proud to partner with Angel City Football Club to help bring greater awareness to health issues facing women and girls,' said Pattie Cuen, Chief Communications Officer at Cedars-Sinai. 'The partnership underscores our collective commitment to the community. We look forward to an exciting and successful relationship with the team.”

Through the Angel City FC Sponsorship Model, which re-directs 10% of every sponsorship dollar toward community programs, ACFC is helping ensure that locally organized efforts to improve women’s health education and access can grow in scope and reach. Furthermore, ACFC will be publishing a dedicated information and resources page on its website that will house relevant content and provide direction to actionable medical resources.

Eager to kick off the partnership and deepen their community involvement, Cedars-Sinai and Angel City will come together with LA84 and Play Equity Fund for their 2021 Play Day. The event is to take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. PST on Saturday, August 28 at L.A. Live, with the goal of facilitating access to a safe and suitable venue for youth soccer players to engage in the sport.

“This is an exciting day in the progress of our club as we welcome Cedars-Sinai to the Angel City family,” said Julie Uhrman, Co-Founder and President of ACFC. “Not only is Cedars-Sinai a premier healthcare organization for all, but they also share our desire to use our platform to provide exceptional care for our athletes and education for the community.”
