Saturday, March 23 at 1:00-4:00 PM PT
Los Angeles Public Library—Central, 630 W 5th St, Los Angeles, CA 90071

Join Angel City FC, the Los Angeles Public Library, and other Wikimedians of Los Angeles in making women’s history knowledge free for all at a one-day Wikipedia Edit-a-thon.

This edit-a-thon will create and improve articles about women and non-binary athletes, teams, and coaches in soccer. Wikipedia is the largest reference work in human history, and it’s all built and maintained by volunteer editors. Unfortunately, articles about female athletes, women’s clubs and tournaments, and other women’s sports topics are often short, out of date, or nonexistent.

To celebrate Women’s History Month, let’s make a dent in the information gap between men’s and women’s soccer.

  • No experience necessary.
  • Age 18+
  • A tutorial will be provided for Wikipedia newcomers.
  • Please bring a laptop and charger.
  • Refreshments provided by Angel City FC.

Advance registration is required. This will be used to save your spot in the edit-a-thon. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

We are currently at capacity for this event.
